ARISPA holds a special assembly meeting in Dubai

Arab Regional ISPs & DSPs Association (ARISPA), a non-profit organization aimed at supporting and enhancing the internet industry in the Arab world, holds a special Assembly Meeting in 13 September 2006 at Kempiniski Hotel, Mall of Emirates-Dubai.

Many critical issues are scheduled to be discussed during this meeting, including ARISPA's achievements, assigning financial Auditor for 2006, endorsing executive & financial plans for General Secretary in 2006 and the mechanism of accepting the new applicants.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Abdullah Al Dubaikhi, president of ARISPA, says: "ARISPA has officially been listed under the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the Arab League, and we are looking forward to supporting and enhancing the internet industry in the Arab world. A pan-Arab initiative will be discussed during this meeting and will be disclosed later".

Arab Regional ISPs & DSPs Association (ARISPA) was announced in November 2004. It has got a number of the leading ISPs in the Arab world, including AwalNet from KSA, eCompany from UAE, QualityNet from Kuwait, IDM from Lebanon, Syrian Information Technology Association, LINKdotNET from Egypt, and Wanadoo from Jordan. The association quite realizes the great significance of internet and information technology, and is completely aware of the huge impact of these two on the development and improvement of business, education and trading, as well as many other industries.
